Hello! My name is Marlena and I'm glad you've reached out for help. I am an LPC in the state of Missouri. I have my Masters Degree in Counseling from Webster University (2017). I have over four years experience in the mental health field. I have been counseling for about three years. My experience includes working with people who have substance use disorders, depression, PTSD, and anxiety. I also have experience working with people who struggle with self-esteem, stress, and healthy ways of coping.

My approach is client-centered: clients are the expert on their lives and I'm just here to help guide. I use a lot of Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I will also use Solution-Focused Therapy to help set goals and outcomes, and I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help with mindfulness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. I will tailor my style of counseling to fit your needs.
