Update Information On My Listing

If you have created an account with us

You can login and follow the on-screen instructions. If you can't remember your password, you can reset your password.

If you have not created an account with us

You can update your listing to enable your phone number, manage the specialties you are listed under, or remove your listing.

Report Disciplinary Action

We provide search results of therapists. Unfortunately, there could be a therapist who has faced disciplinary action listed on Find A Therapist.

What is Find A Therapist?

We connect people who are struggling to local therapists. Individuals seeking counseling use Find A Therapist to find a mental health provider to work with.

If you are a licensed mental health professional who is looking to grow your practice and help people - then Find A Therapist is right for you.

I signed up for an account. I searched for my ZIP Code and my profile is not showing up.

To ensure the safety of the community, we manually approve all therapist profiles before they are included in our search results.

This process includes verifying licenses listed on your profile. We manually approve accounts during business hours.

Please allow 1 business day before expecting to see your profile in our search results.

I sent myself a test message on my profile and I didn't get it.

To send yourself a test message, you must log in to your account and click the "Preview Your Profile" button in the Members Area, then complete the Message form.

This feature can be used to ensure you that will receive client messages. It can also be used to whitelist our domain name to ensure the emails are delivered to your Inbox, not to your Spam folder.

We have a filter in place that makes sure you only get messages from people who need help, and will not receive offers, spam, or marketing messages.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Login to your account, click on Settings and click the "Cancel Subscription" button.

Can we sign up as a practice and list all the therapists in our practice on a listing?

We only allow individual licensed mental health professionals to join. Each licensed therapist in a practice may sign up and create their own individual account.

I do not have an active account with Find A Therapist. Why am I listed on your site?

We intially offered a Basic account (free) which has been discontinued. A Basic account allowed for 30-day full access for free. After the 30-day trial expired, your profile will remain active on our website but you will need to upgrade to a Professional or Premium account to enter the members area. A Professional or a Premium account allows for full access to all features.

I never signed up. Why am I listed on your site?

We display therapist information from data released under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) along with public data sources to enhance our search process to allow people who are looking to help to find local help.

Visit our contact page and select "Update Information On My Listing", follow the prompts and complete the form. You may also click "Update This Listing" on your listing and follow the on-screen instructions.

Why am I prompted to pay when I login to my account?

Your subscription has expired. Please subscribe to a subscription to access your account.

I no longer provide therapy and would like my listing removed.

If you no longer provide therapy, you should deactivate your NPI number. You can do this online at NPPES website.
