Hello!

My name is Dawn Fowler. I graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern Indiana. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida/Indiana/Missouri and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC) in Indiana with over 18 years of experience. I have worked for outpatient mental health clinics, inpatient facilities, managed care organizations, and a comprehensive addictions counseling center.

My primary therapeutic orientation is Person-Centered, which means I believe in the respect and dignity of every individual. I also draw in theory and techniques from other approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Therapy.

I have experience working with individuals dealing with mood issues, stress and anxiety, history of trauma, self-esteem issues, grief and loss, and coping with life changes and transitions. Part of my role is to help create a space where you can feel comfortable discussing difficult topics, assist you in developing goals, and developing a path forward by facilitating the learning of new tools and coping strategies to deal with life’s difficulties.
