Personal Statement

I provide clients with a non-judgmental, compassionate and safe space to work through life’s challenges. I work with adolescents, adults, as well as couples, and those in nontraditional relationships. I enjoy supporting clients as they work through depression, anxiety, self-harm, trauma, and life transitions.

I work with many clients who are part of the LGTBQ+ community. I follow the Standards of Care for Transgender People and Gender Nonconforming People as described by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health; I write gender affirming letters. I have taken 60+ hours of training in ADHD and Autism and will be soon be a Certified Clinical Services Provider for both ADHD and Autism. I am also trained in the Trauma Recovery and Empowerment model, and I have worked with clients through the Georgia Crime Victims Compensation Program.

In the past I worked with adults in a residential treatment program for substance abuse, and a residential facility for adults with serious mental illness. I have extensive volunteer experience with youth through scouting organizations, church youth groups, a Gay-Straight Alliance high school group, and facilitate human sexuality education classes for youth.

I seek to offer a safe space for clients to be vulnerable. I am open-minded, compassionate, and down-to-earth. At North Fulton Counseling Psychotherapy and Consulting, our mission is to extend respect for all people in an environment of authenticity and intentionality. Angie is under the clinical supervision of Pegge Riley LPC, CPCS.
