About

Hi, there! I am Wes Hardcastle-Orr, LCSW. I provide Video Telehealth utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, and Motivational Interviewing techniques. Additionally, I use a strengths-based model to build upon your existing strengths. I specialize in Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Addictions, Trauma & LGBTQ+ issues. My approach I use a strengths-based model and rational emotive cognitive behavioral therapy (RE-CBT). My focus I have a great deal of experience working with both active duty service members and veterans as I recently left the VA. I am also a member of the LGBTQ community and celebrate my marriage to my veteran husband. I have extensive experience working with mood disorders (Depression, Anxiety, Panic), Stress, and Substance Use disorders (particularly Alcohol addiction). My communication style I utilize a supportive but gentle, and yet challenging environment with my clients. I believe all of my clients have specific strengths that can be built upon. My clients feel supported, understood, and cared about as human beings. My journey to therapy Coming from parents with both good and not-so-good coping mechanisms I learned early on the importance of positively dealing with substance use (Alcohol), stress, and loss of a loved one. This is how I began my therapy journey. I desired to help others so that their life's journey would be successful and that they would enjoy more happiness and joy in their lives. This is still my personal goal as a therapist for my clients. My goals for you Goal setting is meant to be mutual and collaborative. I do not set goals for people but ask them to set specific goals with, whenever possible, measurable outcomes. My first session with you An initial session is meant to be able to get to know one another but also the first, or at the latest, the second session we are meant to complete together a biopsychosocial assessment of your needs, strengths, and issues of interest.
