Sandra is a Licensed Behavior Specialist and a license eligible LPC. She attended Eastern University earning her master’sdegree in Counseling Psychology with Applied Behavior Analysis. She is a career changer; going back to school to complete both her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree a bit later in life. Sandra has worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, behavioral issues, life transitions, work and life stressors, and academic pressures. She has also worked with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and parents of children diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing support and parent training. During her career, Sandra has worked in several settings including in-patient care, a college counseling center, schools, and provided in-home services. She has provided individual therapy, group therapy, and social skills training. Sandra believes therapy is a collaborative process between her and her client. She provides a safe, non-judgmental space for her clients to be themselves and share their concerns. She utilizes a person-centered approach to therapy and incorporates CBT, behavioral activation, mindfulness, and education. Sandra works with her clients to help them understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors effect their daily living so that they may move toward growth and healing.
