Gabriela (Gaby) is a licensed social worker nationally certified in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT). She has many years of experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues and a history of trauma. Gaby has experience in a variety of settings including schools, hospitals, and nursing homes. As an outpatient therapist, Gaby gained strong clinical skills working with individuals in need of learning new coping skills to deal with a variety of life stressors such as life transitions, parenting, peer relationships, family issues, etc. She is well trained to teach her clients a variety of strategies to overcome barriers interfering with their emotional wellbeing. Gaby also has experience in hospice care, working with individuals facing chronic illness and end-of-life issues. In this setting, she provided bereavement counseling to individuals going through grief and loss. Gaby has a warm, empathetic, and gentle approach to engaging individuals in therapy.
