About
My name is Raymond Jeanes. I am many things: father, combat Veteran, survivor, psychotherapist, and husband to name a few. While these things are a part of me, they are not the totality of my heart and soul. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you see it, I’ve gone through a lot of pain, growth and recovery to truly discover who I am. If you are seeking to take action to address the adversity of your life, to feel your feelings, to be honest with yourself and others – I may be a good fit for you.
Within my practice, I value authenticity and realness along with high quality psychotherapy that has been honed by years of personal and professional experience. I am an expert in trauma therapy and have Provider status in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE). I also have extensive experience with Personality Disorders, Depression, Anxiety, Marital Therapy, Substance Use Disorder, and general psychosocial difficulties.
The keys to effective treatment within all of these difficulties is honesty, openness, and willingness. Honesty in that a client must be honest with themselves regarding the root emotions that are driving their discomfort. Openness to deeper emotional and mental awareness within the therapeutic proces. And willingness to take action outside of their comfort zone to move towards recovery. These principals, coupled with effective theory based psychological intervention, can shift clients away from their continuous cycles of dissatisfaction and move them toward greater peace and sernity.
