My name is Kamryn Russell, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of Spreading Your Wings, LLC. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and families who may be struggling with behavioral issues, communication, and overall emotional success. I have experience working in the school system and with the foster care system. I have a certification in trauma which helps aid me with specific tools to use with your child. I believe parents are the key to positive change, so I will work alongside you throughout the therapy process. You and your child may be provided tools to use at home and discuss in the following sessions. For teens, I may include the parent in family sessions every 3 - 4 weeks. If you would like to discuss how your child is doing, I prefer to do this at the beginning of the session as opposed to the end, as I want your child to feel comfortable with their confidentiality. Kids are resilient, but oftentimes therapy at a young age can help change the path to adulthood. Life is stressful, and we all need help from time to time.
