Hello and welcome aboard!

My name is Stephanie and I am so happy that you are taking the first steps to navigate the concerns you have right now. It is my hope that I can be that support for you and assist you on whatever waves that have disturbed you at this time and decrease these from continuing. I am currently a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Maryland. I have over 6 years of experience studying, analyzing, and diagnosing the mental, social, behavioral, and emotional development of children, adolescents, and adults, with varying backgrounds in clinical and home-based settings. Most of my experience has been working with individual who struggle with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parent-child issues, deployment issues, self-esteem issues and career issues.

It takes a great deal of strength and courage to open up to someone about things in your life that are challenging at this time and I want to applaud you. I believe the first step in challenging the waves that come into our life, is by talking with someone. My theoretical approach, is more eclectic, meaning I take interventions from many different therapies based on what works best for you. Most often, I will utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to assist you in meeting your goals and decreasing the symptoms you may experience.

I am passionate about helping individuals and their families understand, accept, and cope with their diagnoses, symptoms, and difficult life transitions or situations to build resiliency and lead happier, more fulfilling lives.
