Personal Statement

Hello! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LISW-CP) with over 25 years of experience providing therapy services and I am really glad you have reached out for help. As a therapist, I have worked in a wide range of settings with people of all ages and backgrounds. I believe that every person deserves relief from suffering and together we can make that happen.

My approach to therapy is client-centered, laid-back and conversational. My style has been described as warm, humorous when appropriate, kind, and non-judgmental. Finding your strengths, I utilize a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapeutic (CBT) approach. CBT involves looking at how our thoughts affect how we feel and how dysfunctional thought patterns can and do lead to self-defeating behavior and beliefs.

​My practice is remote, meaning we utilize tele-health video-conferencing through a HIPPA-compliant platform for your privacy. I accept private pay and health insurance will often pay in full or in part. It’s part of being human to need someone outside of our basic circle to talk to now and then. I am confident that together we can help you to find joy again. You deserve it.
