Personal Statement

Each of us, at some point, needs someone else to talk with. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, relationship problems, are mandated, or are dealing with other issues, I would like to help. I bring a lifetime of experience to counseling, having worked with a unique group of individuals for most of my life. I have experienced grief first-hand with the loss of my wife of 25 years, my parents, and numerous friends.

Each one of us is complex. We are comprised of biological, psychological, sociological, and spiritual elements. When one part is not functioning properly, the entire person suffers. We each have a history that makes us unique and wonderful. Thus, it is important for me to get to know you, in your entirety, as we develop a counseling relationship. You are the expert on you, and I want to get to know you, to understand you, to help you walk through what you are experiencing. I want to help you figure out what is best for you.

Do you need prayer? Do you feel the need for Christian counsel? If you have a pastor, are there things you do not want her or him to know? I am willing and able to listen, to understand, to pray with you, to discuss what the Bible says about issues you are experiencing. You may feel you are not worth the help, not worth the effort, You are a child of God, made in His image. And He loves you. As you read this, and as you feel stuck in your situation, know that you are not alone. Let us work together toward a resolution of your issues.
