Personal Statement

Antonia's down to earth and warm personality affords for a safe environment to build a trusting therapeutic alliance with empathy and compassion. Antonia is currently serving a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are over 25 years as Medical and Clinical Social Worker in Hospital, Clinic, and Home Care Health settings. Antonia began Medical Social Work Specialty in Maternal Child Health (Perinatology Social Work) at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor Michigan. She returned to Michigan in 1995 where she was born and raised until the age of 12. In 1996 she completed her MSW (Masters In Social Work 1996).

Antonia has been in private practice as a Psychotherapist since 2004. She is an interactive, solution-focused therapist drawing from several modalities for well-being.

Antonia specializes in the recovery of Cannabis chemical dependency and addiction. She is currently researching (as a clinical social worker) the different social and medical models of addiction and how this specifically correlates and relates to Cannabis addiction. Antonia is collecting a study of first hand stories of women who are in recovery from the negative consequences of marijuana addiction and how these women have transformed their lives as a result of their absence from marijuana.

Antonia has extensive training and experience with therapy for Trauma and PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Grief & Loss (loss of infants, children, spouse, and parents is her specialty).
