Personal Statement
Tasha specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of eating disorders including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating. She also specializes in the issues that often co-exist with eating disorders including but not limited to anxiety, depression, self-harm, self-esteem, body dysmorphia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, borderline personality disorder, relationship concerns, and adjustment disorders. Tasha uses a holistic approach to therapy and has training in various treatment modalities, most notably dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), an evidence-based treatment for borderline personality disorder.
As an eating disorders specialist, Tasha sees clients on an outpatient basis, but she also provides treatment level assessments, consultations to family members, and coordination of care with other health care and community professionals. Tasha's counseling office is a place for individuals to be authentic without being judged.
Tasha believes in the inner strength of each person and uses this belief to teach clients how to create their own healthy, whole lives. Although her counseling is rooted in the newest evidence-based treatment, Tasha prioritizes the unique aspects of the client for an individual experience.

Kovacs Counseling
At Kovacs Counseling, we believe that we all have the ability to make changes in our lives in order to become better versions of ourselves. Sometimes it is helpful to have a therapist involved to facilitate that change. We recognize that it takes a lot of courage to initiate a relationship with a therapist, so we make it a priority to provide a safe and client-centered environment in combination with evidence-based practice.
