Personal Statement
To be entrusted to pursue a journey towards health with a client is a privilege. I seek a collaborative bond within the counseling relationship.ββ The integration of our past with moments of the present allows our souls freedom to imagine and explore our future. One of the most important elements of effective therapy is a safe and trusting relationship through the developing alliance between therapist and client a new way of interacting with self and others will be born.
βAt times we become trapped in repeating negative patterns, unable to achieve our goals. Life feels meaningless, lonely and cold. Clarity and direction needed for the pursuit of happiness is lost in the weight of the day blocking the energy needed for change and growth. Lost in this mindset we fill every space with condemning thoughts and fruitless behaviors. These thought patterns result in no room for healthy, life affirming emotion. Whatever we use to numb from the dark, also numbs out the light.
My approach to treatment draws from the latest scientific research and evidenced based interventions to achieve positive results. Together we work through emotional content and learned behaviors that block feelings of contentment. Using insight oriented and interpersonal approach, together we will work to gain a deeper understanding of your struggles, your self, your relationships.
