Personal Statement
Seeking a therapist is a positive step in your pursuit to feel better. We all want to live the most joyful and genuine lives possible, and therapy can remove the obstacles that prevent you from obtaining this. Therapy is an opportunity to change your life for the positive and to heal on the deepest level.
My specialties include Anxiety and Panic Disorders, Depression, Substance and Behavioral Addictions, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Perinatal Counseling and counseling to resolve relationship issues.
My style is strength-based, active and humorous when appropriate. I view my clients holistically and strive for authenticity and genuineness. My theoretical framework is strength based and combines facets of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
Suzanne will often integrate other techniques such as Ego State Therapy and Mindfulness. Suzanne’s style is holistic and strength-based in that she highlights her client’s existing strengths and supports to foster resilience. She works in partnership with clients to establish treatment goals and actualize the desired change.
