Personal Statement

For over 20 years, I have counseled individuals, couples and families on relationships, career, health and life transitions. I am a relational psychotherapist licensed in New York. I hold a Master’s of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and a four year postgraduate Certificate in Couples and Family Therapy from Ackerman Institute for the Family. In addition to my full time practice, I am an advisor and lecturer at Columbia University School of Social Work and continue to mentor graduate students.

I work with and support professionals in sports, media, entertainment and the arts. My practice focus is working with and supporting professionals of color, women, creatives, and clients with intercultural, immigrant, and intersectional identities.

My areas of specialty are in health psychology, relationships, families, career and performance. I have worked with individuals and families coping with health challenges, illness, grief and loss throughout my career. My approach is psychodynamic and relational, rooted in attachment theory and utilizing EMDR. Additionally, I enjoy working with and supporting young diverse professionals beginning their careers and those in mid career needing focused coaching and support with performance.

I have a warm, engaging style and my approach is collaborative, practical and straight forward. I provide frank feedback and appreciate the same from my clients in our work. My goal is to listen and allow a supportive and safe space for you to have meaningful insights about your past, present and future. Ultimately, leading to healing, change and choices.
