Personal Statement

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is able to treat various client challenges. Over the years, she has encountered many children, adolescents, spouses, as well as adult children of narcissistic personality disordered (NPD) parents presenting with increased levels of distress, grief, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), family estrangement,

and feelings of abandonment resulting from the confusion surrounding the NPD family dynamic. My aim is to help you gain insight about your suffering, provide validation, process your pain, and collaborate with you to heal psychologically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Another longing of mine is to walk alongside individuals who are experiencing grief. My hope is to accompany you in processing your loss, intense sadness, and pain. Furthermore, nothing is felt more deeply than the hurt sustained due to the emotional distance and disconnect encountered consequential to relationship conflict. Marriage and relationship conflict can be managed when couples view their differences of opinion as an opportunity to learn, change, and

grow. I aspire to understand your concerns, help you heal the hurt, communicate effectively, and rebuild trust.

My counseling style is tender-hearted, gentle, and attentive to matters of the heart. Multiple therapeutic approaches are used including Trauma Informed, Cognitive Behavioral, Emotional Intelligence, Acceptance, and Commitment Therapy as well as other methods appropriate for the client’s needs. I believe the counseling experience is a time for developing self-awareness, accepting truth, making healthy changes, and recovering inner peace.

I specialize in narcissistic abuse recovery, grief, couples, and marriage issues. I recognize that regardless of your circumstances, everyone needs to feel safe, understood, and supported. Let’s start working toward your healing.
