Personal Statement
I believe that therapy is not merely a place to treat mental health symptoms; it also provides an opportunity to explore relationship dynamics and long-standing patterns. Treatment is a safe space where both the client and I can notice the ways in which they relate to me, others and themselves. The session provides a non-judgmental place to pay attention in a very special and specific way. The client and I can together discover what in their lives is serving and hindering them. The therapy relationship is the most crucial catalyst for healing and change.
In addition to my professional background, I draw from my journey as a woman, wife, mother and imperfect human being.... and often bring humor to my work as well as curiosity and compassion. A deep lover of the arts, in my spare time I love to sing, dance, read and attend live theatre.
I consider it a sacred privilege to be with clients during their most vulnerable times. Helping clients learn to understand and help themselves in new ways is truly my life's work. Each client who commits to therapy honors me with the gift of their trust as we work together toward greater understanding and a deeper, more satisfying life.
