Personal Statement

I am incredibly proud of you for taking the step to find a therapist. Finding the “right fit,” is imperative and I’d like to share a bit about myself so you can decide what is best for you. My biggest mantra in life is, “Be the change you wish to see,” and a close second is, “Treat others how you want to be treated.”

I view therapy as a collaborative process between two teammates. I always offer ample respect, dignity and compassion to all in a nonjudgmental environment.

I am a strengths based clinician, which means I will focus on the positives when helping you identify and overcome difficulties in your life. Life happens in ways we often cannot control, but I believe it’s all about how we respond that counts most.

I have over eight years of experience working with a wide array of issues and populations. However, my area of expertise is mental health and/or addictions issues of any kind. I also am adept at navigating career, school, and major life transitions and changes as well. I am all about empowerment and person-centered motivational interviewing and I will always gravitate towards your strengths.
