Personal Statement

Sarah DeMulder, therapist in Ashland, OR. I have worked in Southern Oregon in several capacities including managing a sexual assault program, child protective services and family services, Veteran Affairs, adoption counseling and coordinating the Jackson County Council Against Domestic and Sexual Violence.Through the many twists and turns life has presented, I remain in social work. I love it, and think I'm pretty good at it!

I received my Master of Social Work Degree from Portland State University, and my undergraduate work included a degree in Psychology and a double minor in Sociology and Women's Studies. However, the in depth learning comes from the individuals and families I work with, and specialized continued education. My clinical passions include working with families to achieve optimal maternal health, and individuals struggling with anxiety and depression.

When not in my office I am likely spending time with my partner, and learning from my rediculously creative and smart toddler. I am also an avid runner, so you might find me running the beautiful southern Oregon trails with an energetic four legged companion.
