Personal Statement

I am a licensed clinical social worker with more than 20 years of experience. I am also a certified coach. I work with individuals and families using a strength-based, solution oriented approach. I am trained in trauma informed care, psycho-dynamically, in CBT and in family systems work. I have extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, recovery, life transitions, family of origin issues, parents of special needs children and parents who are care-givers for their parents.

I also work with school and behavioral issues and have many years experience working in and supervising school-based mental health. In addition, I work with issues regarding grief and loss of a pet and with trauma associated with animal shelter and rescue work. I will work with you to set achievable goals in therapy in order to promote positive individual and/or family change. I work with adults, children, couples and families.
