Personal Statement

Nathaniel has called Alaska home since 2004. He has a Master of Arts in Counseling and a heart for helping people connect to their partners, families, and other vital people in their lives. He has a decade of experience helping clients explore and improve their relational dynamics and personal struggles. Nathaniel is dedicated to tailoring his services to meet the specific needs of his clients in a way that honors their beliefs and values.

He specializes in treating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, chronic illness, stress, compulsive behaviors (such as eating, cutting, sex, gambling) and couples. He works primarily with teens and adults. Nathaniel is trained in several treatment modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and EMDR.

His is primary treatment approach is Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and families. Nathaniel’s interests also include hiking, camping, photography, off-roading, and other adventures with his family.
