Personal Statement
Welcome to the process of therapy. First step, finding the right person to join you on this journey. You may be searching for support and healing, to understand the meaning in your suffering, to overcome the pain of trauma and/or simply find a way to move through life transition and stress. Reaching out for help takes great courage and strength. I am confident that as you seek for your answers, resolution, guidance and peace you will find that therapy is worth it. YOU are worth it and you have more tools within you than you realize. You deserve to experience hope and a life full of meaning and ultimately contentment.
I am passionate about a client-centered strength based approach to treatment. Sessions will entail collaboration, focusing on new insights, resolving past and present issues that may be hindering growth and developing new adaptive ways to live today. I specialize in trauma-informed care and I am trained specifically in the use of EMDR and DBT.
Remember, you are not alone and things can improve. It may be challenging at first but I truly believe, “When we are no longer able to change a situation - we are challenged to change ourselves.” - Viktor Frankl
My goal as your therapist is to walk alongside you in discovering a treatment that will best work for you and together we will work towards wellness. I look forward to connecting with you! Best wishes.
