Personal Statement

Michelle Butcher, MA, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than a decade in the counseling field. Her specific population of interest includes Adults, Couples, Families, LGBTQ, Gender Identity, Gender Questioning as well as those individuals struggling with Women’s Centered Issues ( Infertility, Post Partum, Parenting, etc). Supporting individuals with Parent Coaching , Generalized Anxiety and Depression are also strength areas.

Michelle considers herself a formidable challenger…a challenger of truth, a challenger of knowledge, a challenger of strength and a challenger of self. The foundation of her therapeutic process is based in guiding clients toward increased self-awareness and ultimately, the achievement of their desired goals.

Always client-centered, Michelle excels at articulating messages that others need to hear and with a supportive approach, pushes her clients to think outside of the box. Through thoughtful dialogue, motivational interviewing and poignant feedback, she encourages her clients to dig deep, face fears and bring about change to their thinking thus enhancing their life experiences.
