Personal Statement
I am glad you are here. Are you experiencing issues with depression, anxiety, stress, frustration, divorce, self-esteem or your relationships? I am here to help. Together, we will help you find strength and solutions to make changes and improve your life. We will pick up the pieces, get better at doing what works, discard what doesn’t, and learn to recognize that you are not the problem–the problem is the problem, and the relationship you have with it is yours to define.
My goal is to help you identify and address the issues and obstacles in your way so you can improve your quality of life. I help people address the issues covered on this site—by helping them make changes that work. I work with men, women, couples, families and teens, and am a LGBTQ ally.
I specialize in helping people learn to improve their relationships, manage change, stress, and adversity, and develop the right skills and tools to cope with anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. Together, we can figure out how to help you live the life you want in healthy, productive ways. I believe you don't just find happiness, and it doesn't just magically find you. My job is to help you figure out how to create it.
Many people come in to find help, support, coping skills, answers, peace, compassion, and happiness. Your therapist's job is to help you find those things, often within yourself. They are in there somewhere! Feeling, adapting, growing, and changing are unique, personal experiences that belong only to you.
