Personal Statement
I am passionate about what I do—helping people through their emotional pain and struggles. I am a trained and certified professional with many years of experience. I specialize in anger management, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and addiction.
I work with individuals (age 6 and older), couples, and families who may be living with anxiety, addictions (internet, gambling, alcohol, substances, sexual), depression, suicidal ideation, emotional disturbances, self-esteem issues, mood/thinking disorders, parenting issues, divorce, relationship conflicts, and domestic violence. Currently, I facilitate an anger management group, teaching people how to effectively deal with this.
Drawing upon cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and person-centered techniques; Matthew worked with children, adolescents, adults and families seeking relief from anger, posttraumatic stress, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, schizophrenia and thought disorders, and issues stemming from life transitions.
The services I offer are tailor-made for each individual and couple/family that seeks redress. I use a number of psychotherapeutic techniques to address my clients’ needs, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), solution focused brief, and family/marital/relational approaches.
