Personal Statement
My role is to accompany clients through the process of realizing and confronting emotions that are holding them back. With the proper tools and perspective, it is possible to begin the healing process. I provide a safe environment to face the fear and pain that prevents you from living your life. With my training and expertise, I will be by your side as you learn to cope with the issues that keep you from happiness.
I work with individuals (adolescents and adults), couples, and families, specializing in treating clients with depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and transgender identity issues. I work mostly with individuals who experienced molestation in childhood; people who identify as LBGTQ; adolescents and the elderly; and people who struggle with severe mental health issues. I also provide supportive services for family members.
In addition to pastoral counseling, psychotherapy, and group work, I am trained in psychiatric rehabilitation and motivational interviewing. My methods are based in positive psychology, and I utilize a number of techniques to treat my clients, including healthy life choices.
