Personal Statement
Serving a diverse population for over 30 years, I strive to provide personalized, objective, and experienced assistance to all my clients. I offer therapeutic services for individuals, couples, and families, and am especially adept at working with children and adolescents. I have specific talents for working with victims of childhood trauma, abuse, and neglect. I also work with young people who struggle with challenges that are beyond the scope of typical adolescence. Parents may also wish to receive support from me, as they work on their individual aspect of this important relationship.
Other areas in which I provide therapy are for life’s transitions, grief, abuse, abortion, fertility, high-risk pregnancies, illness, depression and teen parenting. People also see me for help with a variety of behavioral issues as well, such as ADHD, oppositional defiance, emotional disturbance, and anger management.
I provide an eclectic range of therapeutic methods, depending on the specific needs of each client. In addition to cognitive behavioral therapy and other psychodynamic methods, I also utilize play therapy and a sand tray for younger clients.
