Personal Statement
I provide therapy for people dealing with eating disorders, as well as providing counseling for couples looking to reconcile. At Body Image Counseling Center, I work to help others identify their body concerns and eating issues, and provide educational opportunities toward love, physical health, and emotional wellness. I counsel children, adolescents, and adults regarding eating disorders and other body image issues. My objective is to provide professionals, individuals, and the public with information regarding the eradication and prevention of eating disorders and other related issues (depression, anxiety, and mental health disorders).
Lori has successfully counseled adults, children and families for over twenty years. She regularly lectures, teaches and is the author of numerous articles promoting eating disorders education among health care professionals and the lay population. She has been featured in several national magazines and is a regular mental health consultant for print news and television.
Because I care so much about these issues, I also provide emergency counseling for parents who may have discovered a serious concern about their child. Relationship issues are also important to me, as they hinder positivity and self-esteem.
