Personal Statement
As an engaging, creative therapist, I help clients understand and challenge beliefs and behaviors that aren't working. I believe that when we become aware of our behaviors, why we choose them and learn to accept responsibility for them, we can make the necessary changes for a more rewarding, fulfilling and satisfying life. Life happens. Transitions are inevitable. Sometimes life hurts, but suffering is optional.
I am experienced in helping clients resolve family of origin problems, enrich relational and family issues, journey through life transitions and improve coping skills to meet the challenges that life inevitably brings. Whether you are just feeling a little stagnant in your life or are already at your wit’s end, there are clear steps to restore joy, connectedness and unity within your family, partnerships and relationships. I work collaboratively with clients to help them find ways to alleviate symptoms of anxiety, stress and frustration, create and maintain satisfying relationships, work through issues of grief and loss, trauma, and resolve the often-debilitating symptoms of PTSD to lead a life that is worth celebrating.
I use a variety of techniques individualized to meet clients’ needs and to help clients achieve their goals. I understand and appreciate the challenges and complexities of modern life and can effectively help clients manage these issues in an adaptive and rewarding way.
