Personal Statement

Linda is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner, Licensed Alcohol Drug Counselor and Certified Professional Counselor. Linda is experienced with crisis intervention and doing individual, family and group therapies. Her clients have been children, adolescents and adults with diverse backgrounds and multiple treatment needs. She has seen clients in home-based, community, outpatient, intensive outpatient, residential, inpatient and private practice settings. The majority of Linda’s career has been focused on her passion of clinical practice. She has also done administrative work, educational training and supervision/consultation with other clinical providers.

For many years, Linda has specialized in doing trauma therapy work. She has comprehensive understanding regarding trauma impact and extensive training to help persons that have been traumatized recover. Linda is experienced treating persons that have been exposed to various types of trauma including traumatic events, traumatic grief, complex trauma, developmental trauma and generational trauma. Many of Linda’s clients have endured unusual and highly stressful situations for extended periods of time. Many have survived circumstances of severe chronic abuse during developmental years and as adults. She has also worked with refugee clients that have suffered from war and terror in other areas of the world. EMDR is a type of therapy that is sometimes used to treat trauma and other conditions. Linda is EMDR II certified and has completed additional EMDR advanced trainings. Linda also has specialized training to work with traumatized military veterans and their families.
