Personal Statement
I am a caring and empathetic person who is interested in helping others. My own life journey has taught me many lessons and provided me wisdom and experience. I have been through trials and tribulations in my own life and personally value the power of counseling, including EMDR and art therapy. I look forward to helping others on their life journey. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, creating art of my own, and learning new things.
My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I use many techniques, including EMDR, that offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with my clients to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Registered Art Therapist (ATR).
I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Clinical Hypnosis. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma and women's issues. I graduated from Adler School of Professional Psychology, earning my Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling Art Therapy. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Benedictine University. Previously, I worked for Adventist Glen Oaks Hospital as the art therapist for their four unit behavioral health department. Working at Glen Oaks, provided me with a wide range of experience.

There are so many reasons that someone will seek help. Usually those reasons are causing some sort of pain; pain that may be occasional and mild to constant and severe. Sometimes they need someone to guide them through dark times like the loss of a loved one or a break up. Whatever the reason or intensity, people are looking for relief from their pain.
