Personal Statement

I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor, and marriage and family therapist, with over 40 years experience. I am a communication skills expert, as well as a certified EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) therapist. I specialize in treating the following issues: trauma, anxiety disorders, dealing with people who are difficult, family conflict, and relationship issues.

For more significant issues, I use EMDR to confront traumatic experiences and individualize therapy for healing. For less severe experiences, such as miscommunication or dealing with difficult people, I have embraced an eclectic method of teaching clients to tap into their core Selves. By using martial arts and hypnotic syntax, and by practicing specific responses, I can help you to deal with difficult people and situations with grace.

In addition to therapy, I am also an author and public speaker. I have a passion for psychotherapy and digging deeper into ourselves for answers. You have these tools inside you, and I can help you to realize and utilize them for a more peaceful life.
