Personal Statement
You’re overwhelmed. You aren’t where you want to be in your life, your relationships aren’t what you want them to be, and you don’t feel like you know what direction to head in. You don't have to be alone in these feelings!
I'm Jonathan and I’m a therapist working in a private practice office in Beverly Hills. Thank you for checking out my profile. My focuses as a therapist are:
1. Alcohol and substance abuse challenges
2. Anxiety and PTSD
Help for drug or alcohol use:
Few things in it are as challenging or painful as your drinking and drug use. It’s been a source of shame for some time now, but it’s remained something that’s felt easiest to avoid or hide from others. But people party, right? This is Los Angeles. So why does it feel like it’s a little different when you get drunk or high?
Maybe you blacked out recently and are afraid to look at your phone to find out what you did the night before. You’re embarrassed when you’re buying a second round before others are halfway through their first. You’re keeping more and more secrets, and ultimately, it just feels easier to be away from others.
I offer therapy to help you feel happier, less anxious, and decrease or stop your use, but ultimately the goal is to make you feel better about who you are as a person. I do this by helping you examine and then let go of the shame and self-loathing you carry with you every day. It’s always telling you that you’re a bad person or a fraud. In fact, you don’t deserve to live a healthy life. Other people do, but you don’t have a right to be happy. With the right support you’ll see that you’re not the bad person you think you are, no matter what your thoughts tell you.
I provide various forms of psychotherapy in treatment, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, strength-based therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
I help individuals, couples, and families come to feel better about themselves and live a life free of pain!
