Personal Statement

I am a board, certified mental health therapist and have a New Jersey issued license as a professional counselor LPC. Additionally, I have a New Jersey and Michigan certification as a school psychologist. I have over 20 years of counseling experience working with children, adults and families in addition to working as a school, counselor and school psychologist, I also work as an alcohol and drug therapist, are you leading New Jersey mental health hospital? At this point in time I am providing services to adults via telehealth only.

I understand that is not easy to recognize the need for help. It is even more difficult to take the step of actually asking for help my personal and family experiences is such that I fully understand the obstacles faced and she can help from a professional once viewed as a sign of weakness, she can help I’ve come to believe a sign of strength, not weakness

I do not strictly adhere to anyone therapeutic model I do like rational, emotive, behavior, therapy, cognitive behavior, therapy, positive psychology, solution, focused therapy, as well as other several other models in therapy. In my view, there is not a true one size fits all therapeutic model therefore, I am comfortable in integrating appropriate aspects of various therapeutic schools of thought.

regardless of the model, I am a strong believer, that one of the most important things in helping others is an impulse empathetic therapeutic alliance. To paraphrase a quote from education “people don’t care what you know until they know that you care.” the therapy room should be a place where you can express yourself without fear of judgment. Each individual is entitled to be treated with high positive regard.

One thing that I asked until those that are in therapy with me, is the following: USA- unconditional self acceptance.
