Personal Statement

The decision to begin counseling can be difficult and finding the right therapist can be overwhelming. I provide a supportive counseling environment where clients can feel safe to explore the challenges in their lives and begin to make the changes to live happier, healthier lives. I strive to meet every client where they are emotionally and to always base our work on respect and collaboration. My goal is to help each client regain a sense of strength, control and satisfaction in his or her life.

I help people of all ages address issues related to emotional and behavioral issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, trauma, and relief from stress brought on by a life transition. Together we will work to help you understand yourself more deeply, find tools to cope, build more satisfying relationships, develop self-compassion, and make peace with your past.

In addition to treating mood disorders, I have special education, training, and experience in treating trauma, adoption, and attachment issues that has provided me with tools to offer specialized care to clients
