Personal Statement

It is frustrating and upsetting when things are not working like they used to. Feeling as if you have tried everything but still dealing with the same issues can leave you feeling hopeless, and the busy pace of life does not leave much time to heal. When feeling disconnected, reaching out for support and being honest about what you are going through makes you vulnerable and that is scary as hell, but it is clear that more of the same isn’t leading to getting better.

Picture feeling able to take real steps towards improving your quality of life. Envision accepting both your strengths and weaknesses and being able to identify the best next steps for you based on your values and priorities and not letting guilt and shame stop you from connecting with others. Imagine struggling less and feeling better.

Struggling to make or maintain changes is something we all face, but we don’t have to face it alone. I have an open, nonjudgmental and down to earth, person-centered approach to counseling and utilize various techniques to individualize care.
