Personal Statement

I received my Master’s of Social Work from Michigan State University in 2016 and have experience in the residential and community mental health settings. Specialties include: Borderline Personality Disorder, Self-esteem issues, Self-harm, Anxiety, Trauma/PTSD, Stress Management, Depression and other mood disorders, Schizophrenia and other thought disorders, Adjustment Disorders, & Dual Diagnosis.

I have certifications & experience in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy among other treatment modalities. I work with various populations including adolescents, teens, men, & women. I focus on a goal oriented, person centered approach & believe that healing is a collaborative endeavor that requires honest caring without judgement.

Rather than adopting one methodology for all individuals and their challenges, I create a tailored approach for each individual and situation. I considers myself an active therapist and combine education, creativity and, experience with a realistic approach to therapy.
