Personal Statement
Prior to becoming a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Jerry Franklin Phillips was an ordained minister serving on active duty in the US Navy as a Chaplain. I established a private practice serving Lake, Marion and Sumter counties for 10 years, during which I began specializing in treating addictions and mood disorders. I regionally became therapist to help me be the best Chaplain I could be. I soon found that I really love helping others in times of need through counseling. This is my passion and life.
Although trained in various types of counseling, I have gravitated toward two primary areas, Marriage Counseling and Addictions. I would be honored for you to allow this therapist to assist you in your needs.
