Personal Statement

I help people who struggle with depression, anxiety, substance/alcohol abuse, grief, stress, anger, trauma, relationship issues, and other personal issues. I am in the early stages of starting a Private Practice. I currently only accept self-pay. I am licensed in both Alabama and Mississippi. I am also a board certified telemental health provider which means that I can provide counseling through a Skype-equivalent program to clients located in Alabama and Mississippi.

I take the time to work with you to meet your treatment goals at your pace in a safe, confidential, non-judgmental atmosphere. I am motivated to make a difference in your life.

I am skilled in individual, couples/family, and group counseling. I am licensed in Alabama and Mississippi & board-certified nationally. I have a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from CACREP-Accredited Mississippi State Univ. I have completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Couples Therapy.

I also facilitate substance abuse support groups in Demopolis, Alabama for adults seeking outpatient treatment for drug and/or alcohol addiction. Groups take place Monday and Tuesday evenings at 5:00pm. We also meet on Tuesday mornings at 10:30am. We focus on relapse prevention through coping skills, education, open discussion, and mutual support. You must be at least 19 years of age to attend these groups.
