Personal Statement

I am a licensed and board certified creative art therapist. Art therapy is an expressive and alternative mode of therapy that can help people cope with a variety of issues through various media. Through verbal and non-verbal means, those who participate in art therapy can improve communication, diminish stress, enhance self-awareness, heighten mood, and strengthen interpersonal relationships. People often find that their pain and struggles are too difficult to verbalize, so art therapy can become a means for them to work through these issues.

Beyond art therapy, I also use psychotherapy (talk) techniques and mindfulness. Each person has individual needs, and it is in this safe and welcoming space that I hope to provide my clients with a place to find support and encouragement.

You do not need to be an artist to use creativity to discover and take control of your life. People of all ages and backgrounds are welcome to explore this and other methods of healing and health.
