Personal Statement
I realized the overwhelming need for certified sex therapists. I am motivated by my passions for social justice and for spreading body love—and self-acceptance—with a desire to educate people about sex and bodies, and to assist them in learning, healing, and growing into the sexual life of their choice. I see sex through a more complex lens than just a series of behaviors and techniques, understanding that sex is far from just being something that we do, but is more about the rich and complicated meanings that we make out of the things that arouse and excite us.
Northampton Sex Therapy Associates (NSTA) provides research-based relationship and sex therapy, sexuality counseling and education to individuals, couples, families and people in poly relationships. We are a team of highly-trained clinicians and sexuality educators who conduct our work in an environment that uses social justice as one of our primary philosophies. Located in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts, our clients travel here from all over New England.
Sex is more than a series of behaviors and techniques. As a highly trained sex therapist, I understand that sex is far from just being something that we do, but is more about the rich and complicated meanings that we make out of the things that arouse and excite us. I bring this understanding to the work that I do here at NSTA.
