Personal Statement

I am a licensed psychotherapist who will strive to be the best possible guide for you on your life's journey. I am here to help people who struggle not only with internal identity problems and associated emotions, but also with external issues that can arise due to identities that don't fit within expectations. Example social problems with which therapy can help include: school life, employment, intimate relationships, family life, and friendships. Also, I love working with other transgender and/or nonbinary people; non-normative gender identities can be a challenge to navigate in a society that values strict and biological binaries.

I am an eclectic therapist who draws upon my lived experience as well as training and education in feminism, transgender studies, and racial justice. This means that I will use a variety of interventions from modern therapies to help you with your current issue. My approach strength-based, trauma-informed, client-led, and compassionate.
