Personal Statement

I am a licensed professional counselor in Tennessee and in Minnesota, specializing in traumatic stress, childhood maltreatment and complex trauma. I am also a trauma survivor and understand the anxiety, fear, and isolation that trauma brings. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant in Training for EMDRIA. I am also certified in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

My philosophy of practice is steeped in peer reviewed research and evidence-based treatments. Alone, these are nothing more than psychology, treating the mind and body. True healing must take place in the presence of God's love and grace. As a person who has experienced God's grace, forgiveness, and love, I integrate evidence-based treatments with a Christian worldview that includes judgment free introduction to the only source of true peace; God's unconditional love and grace.
