The therapist's role is to clearly and correctly reflect the patient back to themself to enable a more functional self understanding and self knowledge. As "Knowledge is power!", accurate self knowledge will empower you to a more authentic and functional life. My 40 + years of clinical experience make me well suited to undertake that journey with you.
I have specialized in treatment with gay and lesbian clients for the past 36 years. Issues facing this community have changed since 1980...but issues continue to create emotional conflict. My extensive experience makes me ideally suited to be empathic, insightful and creative in working with clients of all orientations.
I have considerable experience working with couples in conflict resolution and communication enhancement. My work with same gender couples, in particular, has been a hallmark of my practice.
