Gwendolyn Mitchell empowers individuals, couples, and families to overcome obstacles to improve their lifestyle and relationships. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist; certified "Marriage Intensive" and state "Life-Together-Forever" counselor. She has a masters’ degree in Counselor Education in Marriage and Family Therapy and a bachelors’ degree in Psychology, both from Sam Houston State University. Gwendolyn offers individual, couples and group counseling. Her specialties include marital and premarital, relationships and infidelity. In addition she offers counseling for Addiction, Alcohol Use, Anger Management, Anxiety, Coping Skills, Depression, Divorce, Drug Abuse, Family Conflict, Self Esteem, Substance Use, Trauma and PTSD and Women's issues. She has a deep love for Christ Jesus and all that Christianity stands for. If requested, she is eager to incorporate personal religious beliefs into sessions. When she has "extra" time she loves to garden, cook, sew, play the piano and bowl. She has two adult children, and three grandchildren. Her favorite pet is a Labradoodle.
