Personal Statement
My type of therapy consists of using clients' strengths to create tools to work through issues. With a warm, positive attitude and genuine empathy for my clients, I like to make therapy a safe space. Some topics include: co-parenting after divorce/separation, blended families, anxiety/depression, self-esteem, grief & loss, change/transition in life stages, couple & family communication skills, teens, children, & elderly.
I work with individuals, partners, and families, and specialize in working with folks with body image issues, specifically those facing stigma in big/fat bodies, working with adults who have parents with narcissistic tendencies, co-parents (trying to cooperatively parent after separation or divorce), family of origin issues (creating and enforcing boundaries with your family, even if you love them dearly), and self empowerment and boundaries.
