Personal Statement

I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker (LCSW-R) with over 23 years of mental health and addictions counseling experience obtained through working with individuals, couples, families and groups in a variety of outpatient, residential, and hospital settings.

I have experience treating all types of issues, but mostly trauma, anxiety, physical health, addictions, family/relationship issues, and grief and loss. In providing services to my clients, I first complete a thorough assessment of the presented problem. I will then provide education and propose a plan of action to resolve that problem and others that may surface.

I take a person centered approach to treatment. I am open to trying with my clients what ever may work for that individual. My main goal is to help you reach your highest potential and to accomplish this in as short a period of time as possible. I believe in providing a practical and interactive experience for my clients in a sensitive, supportive, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment. It is important to me that my clients feel safe. I strive to encourage my clients to have a sense of hope for the future and that the situations that have brought them to see me can and will be improved.
