Personal Statement
By the time you make a decision to search for a therapist, it can be assumed you have spent a lot of time ruminating about your problem and attempting to resolve it. Why should therapy be the same? Are you ready for a different conversation about Discovering Solutions?
We invite you to look around and learn more about our services. We are a marriage and family therapy practice focused on helping you realize your best hopes! What will be different in your life when you are on the right track? What would you like to feel differently? How will you make that happen? We are here to support you in Discovering Solutions. Our therapeutic model is based in a time-limited, solution-oriented approach. This means counseling begins with the end in mind. You enter counseling to help you achieve an outcome. So, we work hard to understand the track you are on, and then come alongside you by offering empirically-validated and proven psychological tools and strategies to help you reach your goals
I am a Solution-Focused Therapist. This means my therapeutic interventions will be strictly focused on helping you discover solutions. I believe ruminating about the past keeps your mind focused on "what's wrong" rather than focused instead on "what's working" and what you desire. Attachment to past failures and conflict creates a structure within yourself and your relationships which encourage more of the same. I am a therapist that will constantly work to help you shift out of a negative mindset to a positive.
I also offer professional life coaching services to support you in achieving a specific outcome in your life by a certain date of time. I hold a Ph.D. in Marriage & Family Therapy at Northcentral University, approved by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy's Commission on Accreditation for Marriage & Family Therapy Education.
